Yes, 'TOM N TOMS' is a coffee chain coming from Korea ... In Korea, it is the biggest coffee chain there (almost 200 stores) ... Now it's the move of 'TOM N TOMS' in Thailand ... No Wonder as the Korea Trend has been here in Thailand for a while either K Drama, K Pop, K Singers and so on ... Korean Fever !!!
As soon as I stepped into this place (in K Village), I could feel the Korea atmosphere and Korea Environment ... Why? Of course, a lot of Korean had already seated in this place ... Amazing !!! I'm kidding ... in fact the decoration was set as American mixing with Korean style. Anyway, as of today, TOM N TOMS has just passed its 1 year in Thailand operated by a Korean Guy who owns another brands such as Red Mango, Missha Cosmetic, and other imported Korean products in Thailand ... with his objective to compare with Starbucks as in the premium range !!!
Another unique thing that other place don't have is 'UFO' -- yes, the round thing with lighting as below picture ... it's a kind of tool that help you not being on queue at the counter ... you can order then find your place enjoy your chit chat and then waiting for this UFO to vibrate and glow ... yes, that means your order is ready to pick up at the counter !!!
Besides that TOM N TOMS is like other coffee chain -- offers a variety of coffee-related cultural contents and grows to be a world renowned brand with competitiveness composed of its original qualities -- that's what this Korean brand says !!!
That's what about the brand and atmosphere, besides that coffee, there's also the pretzel ... The pretzel is one of the baked product available in soft and hard varieties and savory or sweet flavors ... but one thing that the pretzel share in common is its unique knot shape !!! In TOM N TOMS you can get the freshly made pretzel with a lot of variety to select for ... No Coffee Chain has this thing attached in I bet !!! I love its freshly baked full with real ingredients (such as cinnamon sugar as I ordered) ... but one thing that I don't understand why they need to cut the pretzel for me ... I didn't get my favourite knot shape pretzel !!!
Anyway, if you want to see the real setting and atmosphere of TOM N TOMS -- I was able to find this clip from the internet ... Thank you VOICE TV ... This was on the grand opening day for TOM N TOMS K-Village.
One last thing that I need to mention about this place is that ... I found a lot of TOM N TOMS logos everywhere in the shop plus a lot of Korean things such as Korean Sugar ... See my pictures on logos everywhere from table to floor ... now I understand what the owner said about this brand that they will devote themselves to make TOM N TOMS the No. 1 Korean brand that Koreans can be proud of ... Right, I know you must be really proud of your brand Sir !!!
