Nam-Tao-Hoo (in Thai) or Soy Milk (which also called soya milk, soymilk, soybean milk, or soy juice - or even soy drink/beverage) ... All is a beverage made from soybeans - I don't know why people need to call it in different names !?!? Seem to be nowadays people move to drink soy milk a lot ... One thing to be noticed was the big manufactured brands have launched many products / many variants / many format into the market including a lot of imported soy milk coming in Thailand.
Anyway, my still most preference for soy milk is on hawker (street food) -- it's the simple soy milk putting in the big pot which we can flavoured with either white sugar or brown sugar also with the option to add from grass jelly, sago, other cereals. Yes, this type of hawker soy milk can be sold at 5Bht (or 7 Bht with additional inclusion). Anyway, the price can be varied to 10Bht (or 12 Bht with inclusion) depends on street location (such as Thonglor area where you get higher price of things than other outskirt of Bangkok). Secret recipe of each hawker soy milk was varied too such as this place, the owner put the pandan leaves in to add the greenish cool aroma for.

If not along the street, in the department store, there's also a place where you can buy fresh soy milk -- as this one, I took pictures from Emporium Department Store -- another place where I bought soy milk when I crave for during shopping. Don't expect the price as the hawker's of course ... The price here is almost 50Bht -- give to them the space rental, the machine, and also the way of the presentation (compared the picture set below with the above).

There's also a choice of Soy Milk besides Fresh Milk served in Hotel (see my previous post about breakfast in 2 Five Star Hotel as : Breakfast at Athenee's and Breakfast at Aqua). And also a trend in Organic Food eating around which some cafe has served fresh made Soy Milk (which available in Take Home Bottle) ... The way to do is not that difficult as I noticed that a lot of places using the SoyMilk Maker (as seen in the below middle) -- just soak dried soy beans overnight then put soy beans in machines later ... press the buttons, within 15 minutes, you will get fresh home-made soy milk Yippeee !!!
However, if you like the harder way ... In fact, it's not that hard but a little bit of steps ... you can do the traditional way (with a little bit of using electric machine to fit nowadays life) ... Thank you Khun Manivan Larprom from Thai & Lao Food.
Anyway, try the preference choices of soy milk ... as nowadays the taste of soy milk has been improved more and more so people can drink and enjoy it more !!! Happy Drinking Folk !!!
