Big Antipasti Buffet at Palazzo Ristorante & Wine Bar (Thonglor)

For Italian meal, without an appertizer, a formal Italian meal is simply not a meal !!! If you are about to go for Italian meal, the best is to start with Italian appertizer to suit your meal (or we call it Antipasto - with plural of Antipasti). The word 'antipasto' means 'before the meal' or 'before the pasta' and there are a huge array of Italian appertizer you would see.

With this blog, I will take you to a place where you can various various antipasti continuously (never ending) as the first course of your formal Italian meal. You can refer it as a starter (or an entree) if you don't feel full before you start the main course. This place is Palazzo Ristorante & Wine Bar where you can have a truly good Italian appertizer with best ingredients you can get. Here you might forgot the rule of thumb for Italian meal about 'Select your satisfied appertizer that compliments your whole meal !!!' -- as a lot that you can enjoy even might forget that you also ordered main dish and what's for main dish that has been ordered (as I normally do).

Here they call where the Anipasti locate as 'Salad Bar' ... So we can see 'Cold Meats' which is a traditional favourite. It might look simple but you can be wondered with its high quality and freshness. It was arranged on plate nicely with lovely crisp salad greens or some with olive oil mixed.

Can't miss what the Italian call 'Appertizer Salad' or 'Antipasto Salad' -- you can see some imported ingredients that was used mixed with local from sun dried tomatoes, fresh mushroom, Italian pasta to become grilled dished. Like my favourite on the above picture - Millet Salad which was mixed simply with fresh tomato, basil, mushroom, and olive oil.

Then, the Fresh Green Vegetables are also available -- Season Fresh Vegies plus more than 4 dressing types that was ready mixed ready for all customer to mix and topped with egg and crispy bacon -- so it can become your Cesar Salad in your plate easily by yourself !!!

Right, like the left picture, it's my gourmet antipasto platter full with a combination of what I mentioned above ... You can imagine how many time I would walk back and forth to get enough of 'Antipasti Need' to my stomach.

Next in the course, it became the 'Soup' -- which I selected Tomato Minestrone Soup ... Of course, having Italian Meal why shouldn't I order the traditional Italian Soup. The soup was made with vegetables include beans, onions, celery, carrots, and of course tomatoes.

Last but not least, the 'Main Course' -- wide selection to select from 'Pasta Dish' (Spaghetti or Penne) with your favourite choice of Carbonara Sauce, Beef Meat Sauce, Arabbiata Sauce (as in the picture), Squid Ink Sauce, Crispy Bacon in Peperoncino Sauce, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce (as in the picture), or Home made Ravioli Spinach and Ricotta in Tomato Sauce. But if you not fancy on pasta, there're also a choice of 'Meat Dish' from Chicken Breast Valdostana (Speck ham, Mushroom in cream - as in the picture), Grilled Pork Chop in Green Pepper Sauce, Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Dory Fish Fillet Stuffed with fresh herbs served in capsicum light spicy cream (as in the picture).

Now, we reach to the end with the 'Dessert' part. Choices or Panna Cotta (as below picture), Tiramisu Cake, or Ice-cream or Sherbet were also available. Come together with your choice of coffee or tea.

Yes, this is always my mom's favourite ... She love the variety and the tasty Italian taste on antipasto a lot !!! Plus the place is so convenience, parking available at the front of the restaurant ... not much crowded and most important, food is always full ... The Chef (Italian of course) himself takes care every steps -- keep filling and bringing the new dishes until no customers arrive everyday.
