Trio 24 Italian Restaurant

Who will know or even notice that there is a tasty Italian Restaurant hiding in small alley (near Emporium Department Store) ??? Just standing at Emporium Department Store (soi 24 entrance door), you can see Trio 24 Restaurant locates further front behind 7-Eleven Convenience Store.

The owner (Mr Omar Seidita) and his partner who is a chef (Chef Luca) has started their partnership in Soi 24 Sukhuimvit (almost 1 year). They both love Thailand (including Thai People and Thai foods). Actually Chef Luca who has been in Thailand for 10 years - He used to run his own restaurant in Karon Beach, Phuket including previous 'Zeist' Restaurant on Emporium. While, Mr Omar Seidita who also stayed in Phuket before has decided to move to Bangkok too.

The restaurant has served various nationality of customers (but mostly Japanese) -- We noticed the menu which consists of Italian, English, Thai, and Japanese languages on. The chef himself will take care customers personally -- suggesting and asking for the right dish to fit each customers. This also includes wine to be fit with.

The food here is real Italian food since Chef Luca came from Bologna of Northern Italy. This city was ranked the top quality of life in Italy (which includes foods of course). In addition, at Trio 24, all the main ingredients came from Italy while some was made themself such as Bread was a home-made bread to fit their own dishes.

First dish I would like to mention is Vegetariana Pizza (or vegetarian pizza) 240 Bht -- consists of carrot, onion, fresh tomato, green pepper. The best way to eat with was to drop a little of olio picanta (Olive Oil with dried chilli). This could help increase a little of spicy to pizza (more tasty more enjoyment).

We also tried another pizza Margherita (or Magarita Pizza) 190 Bht. This type of pizza has been accepted that it's one of official Neapolitan pizza (pizza napoletana) which was a "guaranteed traditional specialty" pizza in Italy. Therefore, to have a real pizza taste, I recommend to this item.

Note for more information : Three type of official Neapolitan pizza are (1) pizza marinara, which is made with tomato, garlic, oregano and extra virgin olive oil (although most Neapolitan pizzerias also add basil to the marinara), (2) pizza magherita, made with tomato, sliced mozzarella, basil and extra-virgin olive oil, and (3) pizza margherita extra made with tomato, buffalo mozzarella from Campania in fillets, basil and extra virgin olive oil.

Now, pasta dish, here the chef don't pre-cook pasta for customers to make it quickly. Customers need to allow 9 - 10 mins more waiting for the best fresh cook pasta !!! Pasta dish is the popular dish here ...

Spaghetti Al Tonno (or Tuna with tomato sauce) 220 Bht -- The taste was far away from the look, I can say !!! It was so tasty and so best mixed -- He mixed the fresh tomato sauce with tuna with a little crunchy of celery (to cut off a salty taste of tuna) -- amazing !!!

We also had Gnocchi di patate (or Potato gnocchi) with Melanzaze egamberi (eggplant and shrimps) 240 Bht -- I personally like gnocchi a lot but I found it rarely find the good one in Thailand ... Here is the restaurant that made potato Gnocchi perfect (besides what I had in Italy), I can say !!! The tomato sauce at Trio 24 also made the dish perfect plus a freshy shrimp (I can taste the sweetness of shrimp!!!) in ...

Noted for more information : Gnocchi is a traditional Italian pasta type (a kind of thick & soft dumpling -- it came from the word gnocco means "lump") which has probably Middle Eastern origin since Roman times.

Desserts is also available here -- We also had Tiramisu -- one word "WOW" with the fresh and cool of ingredient. Don't think it will make you queasy since it was a just right mix of mixture of egg, mascarpone cheese, and sugar serving in a cup (coffee cup) ...

and don't forget to order coffee -- espresso at Trio 24 has unique taste !!! It was made from espresso capsule which was ordered from Italy ... No wonder why the taste was like Italy !!!

The last thing I need to mentioned is that Trio 24 do not have 10% service charge !!! That's the reason why I said this restaurant has reasonable price (besides the quality and big size of dish) !!!
