Big Mama Pizzeria -- just like Mama cooks for

This pizzeria is owned by Thai Chef name 'Chef Mac' and his Israel friend. It was opened 5 years ago under the name of "Big Mama Pizzeria" under his intention to open small restaurant to serve customers in his own style -- full stomach, full satisfaction from his warm welcome and his own style dishes in friendly atmosphere.

Talking about atmosphere, on the table there is nothing much except a plain white paper as the plate mat with crayon nearby ... The objective is for customers to draw during waiting (before the food will be served). Some of customer's drawing were hung on the wall ...

I had a chance to talk to Chef Mac about his food and his passion -- He mentioned that he would not call "Big Mama" a be real Italian Restaurant since he uses a kind of mix and match recipe -- try so many recipe and come up to be his own style. Sometimes, customers were the one who tell him what he should add into his menu ... Now, look at what Big Mama has ...

Salad "Gai-Yang" 175Bht -- Roasted Chicken with green leaves mix, tomato, cucumber, mushroom. Exciting thing was not only the combination but also choices of dressing which were served in small jars. They are 3 choices of dressing which were French, Ranch, Thai Style Chilli. -- below left picture
Bruschetta 90Bht -- There are 2 types of Bruschetta at "Big Mama" -- smoked salmon and Parma Ham with Cheese (which we did not order). What we had was the real bruschetta consists of garlic bread with fresh tomato, olive oil, oregano and basil -- below middle picture
Salami Salad
170Bht -- Of course, it's a salami mixed with green leaves mix including rocket, grilled red pepper, tomato in clear dressing -- below right picture

"From the oven -- baked with cheese " item such as spinach (below left) .. sorry for the poor quality of picture (my hand was so shaken even the camera was set anti-shake system -- so hungry) and "Fried with cheese" -- cheese ball (below middle and right) .

Even pasta, he created his own recipe such as using Thai Basil to increase spiciness of herbal rather than Italian Basil which give smoother taste ... Fettuccine Pesto Shrimp 200 Bht (definitely my favourite) not to dry out of green cremy pesto sauce even last spoon with big shrimps in ... below left

Another item that most of table order is pasta in clay pot closed with small pizza bread on-top ... Just select one from pasta items (not all -- you have to ask waiter since they said some won't taste good when close with pizza bread). We ordered Tomato Spagetthi which consists of fresh tomato, garlic, onion, basil, and olive 155Bht ... below middle and right

Since its name with Pizzeria ... We had to order Pizza ... Big Mama Pizza ... as it was indicated as the best item ... it consists of mushroom, sausage, ham, bacon, spinach, green pepper, etc.

Yes, comparing the amount (I mean size of each dish) to the cost we paid, it was so value for money. It suits the name of this restaurant "Big Mama" -- Mama who always cooks delicious dishes in big size (amount) for her kids !!!
